When we decided that we needed to lose one of the large 40ft pines we thought we had btter get the professionals in. So John (Our neighbour) mentioned " Oh I will get old BlackArse in their to deal to that"
(BTW for those that just took an inward breath, this is not a racial conatation at all but relates to something completely unrelated). With some skepticism we agreed thinking that nearly anyone that is anyone in Kaikoura has a nickname (and this was a doosey) we reckoned this would be ok and John is the man in the know and knows who is best to get.
So skipping forward to the day Kerry Rush and his father and team turn up with a huge digger ready for action. Yardy (Another respected local, a fulltime Bushman) was on the case to make the right cuts to make sure it landed in the right spot.
Down it came with a triumphant crash, ready for 6 months of cleanup and 1000's of pinecones!
